A Limitless Mindset

Greetings and Salutations people!

It's Marlana! For some reason, you've landed here and I welcome you with open arms.

If you were to ask me to tell you about myself, you'd more than likely find me stumbling on what is that I should say. Not because there isn't anything good to say, - in fact I'm really pretty awesome - but because for so long I've been at war with myself trying to see exactly what others see in me. If you've never been at war with yourself, consider yourself extremely blessed - because as Ms. Lauryn Hill sang, "How you gon' win when you ain't right within"? 

For so long I felt the need to prove myself worthy. Worthy of love. Worthy of being in places that were unfamiliar to me. Worthy of making room for my presence. Worthy of just living. And honestly - that desire to feel as if I belonged and deserved things that are actually God-given rights - there was a point where I just didn't want to fight myself anymore. Like I legit - yes, ME, Marlana - almost settled for what was. 

There came a time when I had to choose. I had to choose what I wanted my life to be and I decided on EXCELLENCE! I've always known that the one thing that has always brought me the purest form of joy was my natural ability to nurture others. I am extremely satisfied knowing that the things I do positively impact someone else's life. Now - I am far from perfect, and there are times when my directness and own fears have allowed me to show up short, but with each transgression, I do the work to make sure that I show up better each and every day forward. No journey is easy, but when you're someone like me the reward always outweighs the risk.

The concept for this space was to build a professional portfolio with a sprinkle of my thoughts. So you'll find an eclectic mix of topics. Everything here is based on MY perspective.
